Le Labo is one of my favourite fragrance houses and I've always wished that my favourite fragrance Thé Noir was available in a candle format too.

I decided to visualise that wish as a portfolio project. Creating a lifestyle shot of my favourite candle that never existed.

Staying true to Le Labo's visual identity, I kept to a pallet of organic materials with a moody, dark vibe that best emotes the fragrance's complexity.

​

Since Santal is their only fragrance available in both candle and fragrance format, I used its fragrance number to inform the Thé Noir candle’s: 22 rather than 29. Seven fewer ingredients to ensure a good burn.
