TRIXIE COSMETICS PORTFOLIO PROJECT
Inspired by their well-thought-out campaign story, I did this series of shots as a portfolio project to celebrate a collection that I know is a big source of pride for Trixie Mattel - one of my favourite drag artists.

The Hotline collection launched first with two gel liners in black and white and a black liner pen. The 60's mod style is a nod to Trixie's style and I loved the idea of a retro rotary phone with the Hotline logo on it.

Two days before I was going to post these images Trixie mentioned in a YouTube video that they were releasing a new shade that week! I quickly scrambled to get the set back up and the camera lined up to match the old shots and reshot the black gel liner at a different angle being sure to position it perfectly to seamlessly blend into the shot. I found a PR pack showing the exact new brown colour so I coloured the re-shot black liner to match the new brown shade and got them all retouched ready to share once the new shade was live.
